I am delighted to offer my services to conduct weddings and renewal of vows for those seeking personalized, meaningful celebrations.  As a Unitarian minister I am here to help you create the service that expresses your life, love, and values.   Services may be spiritual or atheist in orientation but are always joyful expressions of chosen love.  I am a licensed Wedding Officiant in the Province of Ontario, and serve the Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge areas.

I specialize in modern wedding ceremonies, including multi-cultural, blended family, humanist, and pagan services.  Unitarian Universalists proudly support marriage equality and I am honoured to officiate for same sex couples.  As a minister and a former lay chaplain for Grand River Unitarian Congregation, I have helped dozens of couples create the ceremony they want.

Looking for something a little different?  The wedding ceremony may include rituals such as hand fasting, jumping the broom, sharing flowers, breaking the glass, unity candle, or recognizing children in a blended family.

Memorials

Funeral and memorial services are a ritual to honour lost loved ones. I work with family and friends to craft a celebration of the unique life of the deceased while acknowledging the grief of those left behind.  This service may include music, readings, eulogies, the sharing of memories, and the lighting of a candle to symbolize the life spirit of the deceased.

Child Welcoming

Child dedication services celebrate the joy of a new life, welcoming the child into the family and community of loved ones.  Unitarian rituals include offering a flower to the baby as a symbol of their blossoming life and blessing the baby with either water or the four elements (water, air, earth and fire).

 Other rites of passages such as new house blessings, divorce ritual, and croning are also available. I work with you to create a personal, meaningful ritual to mark times of transition in your life.
